African Fashion Group Of Professionals (AFGOP) proudly introduces yet another edition of the African Fashion Trade Expo and Fashion Show tagged “The New Face of African Fashion II”

This is a fashion trade expo that will bring trade experts and professionals into the world of African fashion. The idea is to grow your income, improve your entrepreneurial ability and most importantly to satisfy your Fashion Needs.

The AFGOP African Fashion Trade Expo (AFTE) is a commercial platform that allows fashion professionals (designers/stylists) as well as distributors/retailers the opportunity to further showcase and market their fashion products. It is also aimed at increasing demand for African luxury brands and assist fashion entrepreneurs to develop a strong industry and good business knowledge.

“The New Face of African Fashion II” will focus on celebrating Africa’s unique and diverse cultural heritage, topped with a flamboyant combination of the Western and African culture, thereby balancing our cultural and new age fashion; and at the same time promote Africa’s rich culture, interpreting it through contemporary designs.

This event is slated to be held in December 2015.

AHAFAT 2013

AHAFAT 2013 is an African Fabric Accessories Training program organized by AFGOP and Hiideez in the city of Calabar. In the program, students will get to learn how to make the basic African fabric accessories such as bangles, loop earrings, neck pieces, flowers (3 types), bow, books, etc. and purses as an extra.

The AFGOP African Fashion Show 2013 which took place at Etaval Hotel, Ibom Layout, Calabar on Friday 26th July, 2013 recorded great success as the event was graced with the best designers in Calabar, Red carpet and Media coverage by renown TV stations like Ebony Life TV (DSTVand NTA Calabar.

The event was fillled with:

  • Artist performance from the likes of Chris Bangs, Ice boxx, Teegoo and other Junk house crew.
  • Runway modelling session by renown fashion designers like Diva Afrique, Chinnel, Julius Afric, etc.
  • Comedy session by MC Mbakara
  • and many more untold.

The fashion show will constitute of:

AFGOP AFS 2013 Postponed

The AFGOP African Fashion Show 2013 which was slated for 10th May, 2013 in the city of Calabar was postponed till further notice due to slight mix ups in venue arrangements.

However, the AFGOP AFS 2013 will still hold but now in Lagos, Nigeria by September, 2013. Arrangements are still being made for the venue and the date will be released soon.

The 1st AFGOP African Fashion Trade Expo has been changed to AFGOP African Fashion Show slated for Friday 10th May, 2013 at the Transcorp Metropolitan Hotel, Calabar by 6.00pm prompt.

The changes where made due to the poor turn up of expo exhibitors.

The fashion show will constitute of:
– Artist performance from the likes of Divinity, Ice boxx, Teegoo and other Junk house crew.
– Runway modelling session by renown fashion designers like Neve Dyeri, Diva Afrique, etc.
– Comedy session by HOD Mr. Comedy
– and many more untold.

Tickets go for N2,000 single, N3,000 couple and N10,000 VIP.
